What is an IEP Goal?

### Free IEP Data Tracking Sheets

TeachTastic Publishing provides a wide range of resources and materials that are specifically designed to support special education teachers in creating effective lesson plans and teaching students with diverse learning needs.

With a variety of materials available for students with different levels of prior learning and learning disabilities, TeachTastic Publishing provides a comprehensive suite of resources that can be tailored to meet the unique needs of each student.

Learning Standard

6.EE.C.9

Use variables to represent two quantities in a real-world problem that change in relationship to one another; write an equation to express one quantity, thought of as the dependent variable, in terms of the other quantity, thought of as the independent variable. Analyze the relationship between the dependent and independent variables using graphs and tables, and relate these to the equation.

Target IEP Goal

By (date), when given problems with expressions and equations, the student will use variables to represent two quantities in a real-world problem that change in relationship to one another; write an equation to express one quantity, thought of as the dependent variable, in terms of the other quantity, thought of as the independent variable improving expressions and equations skills from 0/10 work samples out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 work samples in ten consecutive trials.

Teach Tastic IEP goals written to be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Results-oriented and Time-bound.

IEP Goal Objectives

1

## Write a two-variable equation from a table

By (date), when given problems with two-variable equations, the student will write a two-variable equation from a table, improving expressions and equations skills from 0/10 problems out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 problems in ten consecutive trials.

2

## Identify the graph of an equation

By (date), when given problems with two-variable equations, the student will identify the graph of an equation, improving expressions and equations skills from 0/10 problems out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 problems in ten consecutive trials.

3

## Find a value using two-variable equations

By (date), when given problems with two-variable equations, the student will find a value using two-variable equations, improving expressions and equations skills from 0/10 problems out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 problems in ten consecutive trials.

4

## Identify independent and dependent variables

By (date), when given problems with two-variable equations, the student will identify independent and dependent variables, improving expressions and equations skills from 0/10 problems out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 problems in ten consecutive trials.
