### 5.MD.C.5a

Find the volume of a right rectangular prism with whole-number side lengths by packing it with unit cubes, and show that the volume is the same as would be found by multiplying the edge lengths, equivalently by multiplying the height by the area of the base. Represent threefold whole-number products as volumes, e.g., to represent the associative property of multiplication.

Target IEP Goal

By (date), when given exercises with volume, the student will determine the volume of rectangular prisms made with cubes in word problems, improving measurement and data skills from 0/10 work samples out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 work samples in ten consecutive trials.

Teach Tastic IEP goals written to be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Results-Oriented, and Time-Bound.

IEP Goal Objectives

1

Determine the Volume of Rectangular Prisms Made with Cubes

By (date), when given exercises with volume, the student will determine the volume of rectangular prisms made with cubes, improving measurement and data skills from 0/10 work samples out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 work samples in ten consecutive trials.

2

Multiply 2-Digit Numbers by 2-Digit Numbers

By (date), when given exercises with multiply by two-digit numbers, the student will multiply 2-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers, improving number and operations in base ten skills from 0/10 work samples out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 work samples in ten consecutive trials.

3

Multiply 2-Digit Numbers by 2-Digit Numbers Using Partial Products

By (date), when given exercises with multiply by two-digit numbers, the student will multiply 2-digit numbers by 2-digit numbers using partial products, improving number and operations in base ten skills from 0/10 work samples out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 work samples in ten consecutive trials.

4

Multiply 2-Digit by 2-Digit Numbers Using Area Models

By (date), when given exercises with multiply by two-digit numbers, the student will multiply 2-digit by 2-digit numbers using area models, improving number and operations in base ten skills from 0/10 work samples out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 work samples in ten consecutive trials.
