### 5.NF.B.4b

Find the area of a rectangle with fractional side lengths by tiling it with unit squares of the appropriate unit fraction side lengths, and show that the area is the same as would be found by multiplying the side lengths. Multiply fractional side lengths to find areas of rectangles, and represent fraction products as rectangular areas.

Target IEP Goal

By (date), when given exercises with multiply fractions, the student will understand fraction multiplication and area, improving number and operationsfractions skills from 0/10 work samples out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 work samples in ten consecutive trials.

Teach Tastic IEP goals written to be SMART: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Results-Oriented, and Time-Bound.

IEP Goal Objectives

1

Multiply Two Fractions

By (date), when given exercises with multiply fractions, the student will multiply two fractions, improving number and operationsfractions skills from 0/10 work samples out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 work samples in ten consecutive trials.

2

Multiply Two Fractions Using Models

By (date), when given exercises with understand fraction multiplication, the student will multiply two fractions using models, improving number and operationsfractions skills from 0/10 work samples out of ten consecutive trials to 8/10 work samples in ten consecutive trials.

3

Multiply Two Unit Fractions Using Models
