Present an example question: "Listen to each word. Then, sort by the number of syllables. For example, rat and cookie." Demonstrate the key idea that words can be broken into syllables by using the clapping technique. Model the sorting process for the word "hamburger" with 3 syllables. Provide additional examples by sorting the words "rat" with 1 syllable and "cookie" with 2 syllables.
