LESSON INSTRUCTION
INTRODUCTION
- Begin the lesson by asking students what they know about addition.
- Explain that addition is the process of putting things together or finding the total of two or more numbers.
- Show a visual representation of addition using counting objects and a whiteboard.
INSTRUCTION
- Introduce the concept of adding 0 to an addition sentence. Explain that adding 0 to a number does not change the value of that number.
