### INTRODUCTION

1. Show the students a sphere and ask them if they know what it is.
2. Explain that a sphere is a shape that is round like a ball.
3. Show the students spheres of different sizes and colors and ask them to describe what they see.

### INSTRUCTION

1. Review the concept of spheres and their characteristics.
2. Explain that spheres can be oriented in different ways and come in different sizes, but they are all still spheres.
3. Show the students spheres of different orientations and sizes and ask them to describe what they see.

### GUIDED PRACTICE

1. Divide the students into small groups and provide each group with a container of spheres.
2. Instruct the students to work together to identify and name the spheres regardless of their orientations or overall size.
3. Circulate around the room to provide support and guidance as needed.

### INDEPENDENT PRACTICE

1. Provide each student with a whiteboard and marker.
2. Instruct students to draw a sphere in any orientation and size, and label it correctly.

### HOMEWORK

1. Ask students to find three spherical objects in their homes or in their environment and draw a picture of them.
2. Instruct students to label the objects as spheres and write a short description of their characteristics such as size, color, and orientation.
3. Encourage students to share their findings with the class during the next lesson.

### EXIT TICKET

1. Provide each student with a whiteboard and marker.
2. Instruct students to draw a sphere in any orientation and size, and label it correctly.

### ASSESSMENT

1. Formative assessments will be conducted during the lesson to monitor students' understanding of spheres and their characteristics.
2. The exit ticket and progress monitoring assessments will be used to determine students' mastery of identifying and naming spheres regardless of their orientations or overall size.

### CLOSURE

1. Ask students to share one thing they learned about spheres today, and write their responses on the board.
2. Review the importance of being able to identify and name spheres regardless of their orientations or overall size.
3. Encourage students to practice identifying and naming spheres in their daily lives and report their findings to the class during the next lesson.
